Firethorn

Firethorn treats blooming as an event: a bristling burst of color breaking into open air. Angular planes of vermilion, orange, and cadmium yellow push outward from dense centers, crossed by dark, thorn-like lines that lend each composition its skeletal energy. Around them, powder-blue and periwinkle grounds stay cool and airy, so the warm color reads as sudden growth rather than decoration. The surfaces are worked rather than smooth — layered planes overlap in translucent passes, edges fray into dry brush, and speckled pigment scatters across the field like pollen. Notes of teal, sage, and violet settle the palette between wildness and restraint. Each canvas builds its own rhythm, some converging on a single flare, others dispersing into scattered shards, yet all share one visual language: hard facets softened by air, heat held inside coolness. Read together, the works suggest thorny blossoms caught at the moment they open — vitality that cuts as it blooms. Settled into a contemporary interior, the series offers a lively but grounded accent, its clear blue field and concentrated color holding a wall without overwhelming the room.

P035 | Morning Spark – Blue Abstract Wall Art

A thin yellow star splits the sky at the top of the canvas, its rays scratched straight across the blue. Below it, a faceted vermilion plane tips sideways and carries the picture's weight — every other shape leans off that one gesture. The field...

P036 | Red Kite – Blue Abstract Wall Art

Every shape in this painting points to the middle. A red kite-shaped plane — dark at its core, brightest along its edges — opens like a blossom or a kite catching wind, and the smaller blue and yellow planes arrange themselves around it. The...

P037 | Red Pennant – Blue Abstract Wall Art

A red plane the shape of a pennant tips down and to the left, as if caught mid-turn in wind. Everything around it answers that movement: ultramarine shards lean in from above, and a jagged flame-yellow fringe flickers along the top edge. The blue...

P038 | The Red Spire – Blue Abstract Wall Art

The color climbs. Red and orange planes stack and overlap into a single vertical column, held together where a dark navy mass gathers at the crossing point — the painting's hinge and its heaviest note. Around the column, the field stays wide and pale:...
