Table in Light

Table in Light finds a quiet sense of occasion in everyday arrangements of fruit and vessels. Rounded pears, cut citrus, and figs gather around tall jugs and bottles, their curves set against open backgrounds. The compositions balance upright forms with low clusters on plates and folded cloth, giving familiar objects a measured presence.\n\nCream and warm ivory hold the light, while olive green, amber, and deep brown anchor the shadows. Orange peel and russet fruit bring concentrated warmth to this earthy palette. Directional light travels across the arrangements, catching rims and glossy surfaces while casting shadows that give the tabletops depth.\n\nVisible oil brushwork follows the swell of fruit and the contours of vessels, with thicker strokes lending weight to highlights and textured skins. These hand-painted oil paintings bring an intimate, grounded character to dining spaces and contemporary interiors shaped by natural materials. Each arrangement changes the relationship between height, color, and shadow, while sharing the same attentive view of ordinary things.
