Product Series
Residual Space is a study of what remains when an image is reduced to structure, pressure, and trace. Across the series, dense black forms sit against expansive off-white grounds, creating a tense dialogue between weight and emptiness. Rectangular masses, vertical planes, and horizontal bars suggest an architecture without a building: provisional boundaries held in suspension, interrupted by passages of open space.\n\nThe near-monochrome palette sharpens every decision. Broad painted fields carry the physical presence of matter, while scraped edges, broken lines, dry brush marks, and scattered splatters keep the geometry from becoming rigid. Evidence of the hand remains visible along the margins, where controlled shapes dissolve into abrasion and residue.\n\nEach work shares this restrained visual language but shifts the balance between enclosure and release. Together, the paintings evoke silence, solitude, and contained force, inviting a slower attention to proportion, surface, and the space around a mark.
